Pilots obtain weather briefings from Flight Service, 1-800-WX-BRIEF, or through approved electronic sources such as aviationweather.gov. A standard briefing provides adverse conditions, VFR flight not recommended, synopsis, current conditions, en-route forecast, destination forecast, winds aloft, and NOTAMs.
