A remote pilot in command operating a small unmanned aircraft under 14 CFR Part 107 is bound by four operating limits that are tested on every UAG exam administration:

(1) Maximum altitude of 400 feet above ground level, or within 400 feet of a structure's uppermost limit if the sUAS is within 400 feet horizontally of that structure.

(2) Maximum groundspeed of 87 knots (100 mph).

(3) Minimum flight visibility of 3 statute miles as observed from the control station.

(4) Minimum distance from clouds: 500 feet below and 2,000 feet horizontal.

The remote pilot must additionally maintain visual line of sight with the aircraft at all times under 14 CFR 107.31, either directly or through a visual observer with whom they are in continuous communication.
